DEMAREC Polyp Grap

The base design of the grapple is made out of fine grained steel, wear resistance and longevity due to the use of 400 HB steel for tine components. Long time of experience as well as involvement of the end users in the development process combined with the latest engineering tools, have led to the DEMAREC DPG, making the application more effective and trouble free.
DEMAREC polyp grap for the handling of bulky scrap with excavators up to 16 - 50 ton operating weight. The DEMAREC DPG is available with 4 or 5 tines – in 4 different tines shapes:
- F: fully closing tines
- H: half closing tines
- W: wide style of pointed tines
- T: pointed tines
The DEMAREC DPG grap is equipped with an extremely flat and compact rotator with 4 point bearing. The acceptance of high transverse moments and impact loads is possible. Large cross sections in the swivel guarantee a high operating speed at low oil temperatures. The rotator has a high torque and 15 t axial load capacity. The generously sized pin connections reduce the face pressure. Induction hardened pins are seated in steel bushes. Tine heads and main bearing are widely spaced in order to absorb distortion as well as to reduce the face pressure in the bushings. Lateral thrust discs provide a solid support for the tines and reduce wear to a minimum.
The slim, outline optimised tines guarantee an ideal penetration. The absence of protruding parts ensures perfect discharging of the goods. Massive end stops relieve the hydraulics in the tine’s extreme positions. Due to the ideal tine outline, no materials get caught up, which potentially could damage the cylinder. The forged tines are made of material 500 HB.
